College taken off Register of Tier 4 Sponsors

Post by kkuk » Fri Apr 15, 2011 11:49 am

Hi there
Can someone please help with a few questions regarding my brothers Tier 4 General application which was submitted in pakistan on 05 April 2011.
He has got CAS from Victoria College Nottingham.yesterday according to new sponsors register updated by ukba Victoria College has been taken off the list.Spoke to college regarding this and have been informed that this just happened because of some technical problem and college will be back on this list in a few days.To be honest I don't believe 'Technical Reasons'
Under these circumstances, whats gonna happen to my bros application which is still under process. Are they going to hold it until the outcome of sponsor's status or decide to refuse straightaway.
Regards

Victoria College

Post by SolitaryRomeo » Mon Apr 25, 2011 5:55 pm

I am in exact same situation.

I made arrangements to pay for my brother to study ACCA at Victoria College Nottingham. I paid them full tuition fees for the first year but on the CAS letter they wrote only 60% of the fees as paid and the rest as due.

It took me two weeks to chase this up on a daily basis to get it all sorted out.

My brother then applied for his visa on the 5th April, few days later we found out about VCN being suspended.

We received email from UKBA, asking us if we want to withdraw our case. We replied back saying no, because VCN assured us this matter will be resolved very soon.

We now wait and see, if anyone finds out any information, please do keep us updated.

Many Thanks to all.

I had a my visa application pending while the college was taken off, and Home Office wrote to me asking if I wanted to withdraw my case, to which I replied, no because the college has confirmed everything will be sorted....

The dates on my CAS are:
Course start 05/05/2011
Last date of acceptance: 23/05/2011

As the 23rd is fast approaching, and the college still hasnt come on the Register, this is worrying me great deal!... Will the UKBA reject my case because the Last date of acceptance has gone past?

Please help.

thank you, but will the dates on the CAS not have an effect on the decision? will they still count it, or will they say no its too late now?

thanks again.

The dates in the CAS (or the CAS itself) has no meaning when the Tier 4 sponsor's licence is suspended (i.e. - the educational institution is no longer authorized to sponsor migrants pending further investigation).

Hi, this is what we were told to do last week as they were expecting the college to be on the register this week.

So as luck as it, college is back on the register, but it has dropped from Highly Trusted to A Trusted. would that make any difference at all?

We see a light at the end of the tunnel now, lets hope we can get there.

Just heard a rumor tha VCN was revoked just for 1 day & same day all pending application were decided and subsequently refused.
Is there possibility that a college is'' revoked'' and then back on register within one week?

Any input would be appriciated

Have been told that the college was on the register on monday and was then taken off because it was incorrectly given "A rated" instead of Highly Trusted... so now on this monday, it is due to come back on the register.

And once on the register, if you appeal, you should get the visa.

^ So they say, lets see what happens....

Hi there,
Thx for the update.I can confirm I was told same story.
Under these circumstances, if we go for Administrative Review, would it be considered under the rules when we submitted the application for Tier-4 in first place or
under current rules at the time of Admin Review?
What happened with your brother's case? Was he refused? are you going for Admin Review too?

Kindly keep us updated.

Thanks

I am not sure regarding Admin Review process, lets wait to see if anyone has knowledge on this on here.

But yes, my brother was refused, saying college's license has been revoked. We contacted the college, they said that is incorrect, the case is still going on. we do have 28 days for Admin Review, college is hoping to be on the list this week, so still in the time limit for the review.
That is the only choice we have.

But, be sure to have got an updated CAS letter from the college before you appeal.

UPDATE: College is now on the register, appealing on Monday. And the college has given a letter (the court case/verdict) to support the appeal.

What is going on?

Will contact VCN on monday, I wonder if the court decision wasn't in their favour. Surely can't be another "technical error".

Hi, just to update you.

We have received an email from UKBA saying the Victoria college's license has been revoked, therefore they will not decide the appeal until the matter is resolved in the court. They have advised us to wait another 28 days to hear from the UKBA again.

Let us know your updates.

Thanks a lot for the update.

What about your bros CAS letter? My brother's gonna expire on 3 sept 2011.Do you think we should ask them for new CAS or wait until a decision is made by courts?
