Self Employment - Salary deposits

Hi All,

I Worked for a 6 months IT contract and I use to get the salary through Limited company (umbrella).

My Tier 1 visa is due for extension in this Nov 18th. I am bit worried about below issues :

1) I use to get the monthly salary deposited to my personal bank account on Sundays. Will that be a problem for my extension ?

2) Moreover, in the discription it doesn't have 'Salary for the month XXXX'.

3) Sometimes, I use to get the discription 'ABC Ltd' and sometimes 'ABC'
where ABC is the umbrella company name.

Will the above issues will be a problematic for my case ? Assuming UKBA tightening the nose.

Please share your valuable inputs.

so long yr employers provides u salary slips and reference in case HO ask u r fine ,

no need to match particulars etc in bank statemts , all these r relevant in scrutiny / suspicious case .

Hi sushil,

My tier 1 extn is due on nov 18th this year. Iam proovin my income in the form of self employment scheme.

But, not sure what all doc,s i need to submit from an accountancy point of view (accoutancy letter, earnings stmt, balance sheet etc.,) and what all things i have to bear in mind.

Loking forwardto your kind and earliest responses.

I have a similar situation.

What documentation do you need to provide as self employment?
Are bank statements/letter from accountant/invoices/

What docs do yo need to show from HMRC?
Is the welcome package enough?

I am Self Employed.

Is the earnings requirement for self employed individuals based on net or gross?


There seems to be some discrepancy on this issue.
