ILR and European national partner

Hello everyone
Im eligible to apply for ILR under lawful 10 years rule. I have a gap of 2.5 months due to a payment rejection by the bank. I will be sending a covering letter to explain the situation.
Could anyone pls advice me, if I mention that im intended to settle down in UK with my European national UK Based partner for 3 years, would that be a problem? Would they think Im more belong to my partners country, where English speaking people are minor. What documents I have to show that My life here with him and it will be useful to domestic circumstances?
