Date of application for postal application

Hi All,

If my Visa expires on 20th August Saturday. And I am making postal application. Do the UKBA consider the postage date. or do they consider when special delivery was received by them.
The guidance note says its the date of postage.

Has there been any change or it is still the postage date in case of Postal application.
