Hi,

Q 5.2 on the form asks 'Do you or your partner, or both, pay any rent or mortgage for your home?

If so, how much do you pay each month ?

Do they mean me in my personal capacity as the applicant or all of the above mentioned in q5.2 ?

The rent comes from my husbands salary and not mine - my contribution to the rent is currently 0.

Also as I am a part timer, my net pay is less than the rent we pay - I am worried that if I do need to declare our rent then it may look like I can't support myself.

Any one with similar case or advise?

The question asks if either or both of you pay rent / mortgage. So if any of you pay rent / mortgage, you must answer accordingly.

In the next question (to the right), IMHO you should answer 0 (because you do not contribute anything for rent).

I will be applying along the ancestry route.

I have two other queries :
1) A lot of the form is not applicable - can I leave the pages out that don't apply or is it better not to do so?
2) Section 10 - Documents. Besides a 'Life in the UK test pass notification letter, is it only 10Q that is applicable in my case?

Unless I am not reading the form correctly, must I supply any bank statements / letters or contracts of employment with my application?

1. Do not omit any pages of the form. Leave the sections that do not apply blank or mark them "not applicable".
2. 10A and 10Q.

Further to this post .....
My father has misplaced the unabridged birth certificate we obtained in Sep 06 for the purposes of the original Ancestral visa application. I had taken a copy of all the documents I sent at the time.

With my ILR application, I submitted a copy of the unabridged birth certificate accompanied by a sworn affidavit my father obtained from the police station in South Africa.

I indicated with my ILR application that we would obtain an original unabridged birth certficiate but am confused about whether this needs to apostille (ised) or not?

I am concerned that a recently stamped unabridged birth certificate will not be seen as enough evidence to prove the relationship.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
