Child benefits - Please Help

Post by Visa321 » Tue Nov 29, 2011 9:34 am

Hi a relative is about to apply to bring her husband over from Pakistan.

She has 3 kids, her first husband died in 2009, she currently works and gets a salary of £9,500 and also gets child benefits as she has 3 young children all under 10. Will she have any problems applying?

She can apply if she wants to, but whether the visa will be granted is questionable as her finances may not be enough to support her hubby and 3 kids.If she can get family to help out ,it may help her

Hmmm that doesn't sound to convincing. Her mortgage is paid off, so her outgoings are fairly low so hopefully it should be ok

She will need to show 62.33 x 3 + 105.95 per week after rent/mortgage, council tax and any loans/credit have been paid.

62.33 x 3 + 105.95 = 292.94

How much is her council tax?

Does she just get child benefit or tax credits also?
