Feedback regarding Mailboxes etc. (MBE) Sheffield

Post by docitduo » Wed Sep 27, 2006 3:58 pm

Hi,

Saw a couple of posts wherein one or two people have found the MBE service to be convenient (and surely comforting).

Like most of the out-country applicants, I am paranoid about losing my documents on the way back and am planning to use MBE services to collect my documents from HO and have them couriered to me.

Since a few of the applicants had recommended MBE earlier, I wanted to know if anyone else has used the services of MBE since it was last recommended. If anyone has, would love to get some feedback.

Thanks in advance !!

I don't think you need to worry about it. I contacted them and Frank sure sounds like a professional and he knows his stuff.

I'm gonna use them. Anyway, there is not much into it to worry about.

I have used their service and they are really good, the day in requested them for the pick-up and the same day they did that and courier it to my home country, i made through credit card, and it was done very smoothly in a matter of one day.

Hi,

Thanks Ambreen & Windmill, for the feedback.

If I may ask Ambreen, which country did you apply from (or requested your docs. to be delivered by MBE) ??

I applied from Saudi Arabia and they delivered me in Saudi Arabia, they charge 15 pound to collect the documents and then they charged me 55 pounds for the delivery to Saudi Arabia - Jeddah

Hi,

Windmill - Sorry to hear about your rejection. I am getting nervous already ... planning to send my application on 10-Oct :?. BTW, did you get your docs. back through MBE?

Actually, I have written an email to MBE Sheffield today enquiring if they would be ready to pickup the package (on a date which will be told to them later) on my behalf and further courier it to me out of UK. I know it wasn't needed perhaps (email) but I wanted something in writing (what if they refuse at a later date to do it  ), so couldn't resist myself !!

Others - Any feedback on MBE ??

All the best.

hey,

you can safely use them. i got my documents back in two days. Frank even picked up my documents before I gave him the credit card information. I didn't wanted to email that so I said pick them up and I'll call and give it.

next day I called and he said has has indeed picked them up and are ready to dispatch. I got them back in 2 days. So I rate them. For 15 GBP, it saves you from lot of hassle.

Thanks Windmill,

Yup, I am going to use their services. Frank replied to my email today (wasn't expecting a response so soon, I had emailed him only yesterday).

He said there's no reason why he couldn't pick the package from HO and courier it to me anywhere in the world, as long as I can provide him the following details whenever I want him to collect - a) case number, b) address of HO building from where the docs. have to be picked up, and c) caseworker name and contact number.

I am not sure if I am going to get into a difficulty on the c) bit, as I don't know if HO shares the caseworker details with the applicants :?: . Anyways, I guess I'll find that out very soon

For 60 quids total, if your documents are assured a safe return, what more can one ask for

Thanks !!

Hi
MBE , Mail Boxes Etc. , they can collect ur documents and decision letter from HSMP office and dispatched u through FedEx or UPS. In my case i got reference Number of 14th dec , so i gave them a call on 18th dec and they told me my decision was made on 16th dec (damn fast man!!!!!!!) . So i sent them fax and mail to hold my docs i am arranging courier. From HSMP i guy replied on my mail that they can assist me in courier thing but they dont send it by courier and they can wait for courier arrangemnet by me for 14 days from mail date. I was already in touch with MBE, Frank is the MBE Sheffield's Franshise guy , who collect ur docs from HSMP office. In order to collect ur docs he need following info from ur side.

1) The actual name of the building at which your documents are held
2) That the documents are definitely ready for collection
3) The case number
4) The name of the officer handling your case, and their telephone extension
number.
5) Your full name, address and telephone number.

So once u know ur decision is made then mail them and ask to hold the docs. Once u kmow in which building ur docs are held and who is handling ur docs and his phone number, send a mail to Frank that ur docs are ready to be collected. Frank will conatct with that person and collect ur docs. MBE will charge u 15 GBP + UPS/FedEx charges.

Hi guyz
freebirds u r welcome dude. Some more update from me is that MBE successfully collected my docs from HO, and they are ready to be dispatched. They are the total cost from Sheffield to Riyadh(Saudia) is
42.51 GBP(FedEx) + 15 GBP(MBE).
The person from HSMP is not the caseworker i guess but he is the who is responsible for document dispatch, i asked about the decison but he told me he can't'and he need to wait till u get the letter.
The MBE sheffield site is http://www.mbesheffield.co.uk and MBE site is http://www.mbe.uk.com/. You can find Frank's phone number and email from MBE sheffield site.
Anyways Franks ask me about my credit card details so that he can charge the cost from my card. Guys suggest should send thse details or not kindly Ambreen or windmill else did the transcation, tell me how u guys did the payments?

Regards
Hasan
