Salary slip query

Post by blessco_system » Mon Jan 09, 2012 2:21 pm

Hi,

I have an appointment booked at PEO to apply for ILR on 26th Jan 12. My company normally pays us on 28th of every month except during Christmas when they pay few days early i.e last month they paid on 23rd Dec 11. which means on my appointment day (26th Jan 12) my salary slip will more than one month old. Reading below from ILR guidance notes it looks like I have to apply with a last pay slip not more than 1 calender month old.

Guidance note about payslips.

"Payslip: This must be the most recent payslip. It must be dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of the application."

Can you guys please advise whether I am still ok to give them my last month salary slip although its more than one month old or do I need to wait for next payslip and than apply.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Hi blessco_system,

I'm exactly in the same situation as yours. My appointment is also on the 26th and my company also pays on the 28th of every month with the exception of December where they paid earlier due to Christmas. I'm really hoping this shouldn't be an issue but please let me know if you find anything.

Also, can you confirm the list of documents you'll be including in your application? I'm applying on the basis of pre November 2006 rules for HSMP.
Regards,

I don't believe this would be an issue as the difference is only couple of days and case workers know that December salaries are in some companies paid before Christmas. But, to be on the safe side, ask your employer to explain/confirm this case in a letter. And don't forget 3 months bank statement (which includes December).

Thanks Yanbo.
Regarding bank statements, can you point out to any written guidance notes asking 3 months bank statements should be submitted? I'm confused if 3 months should be enough or should I get statements for 6 months or perhaps last one year.

Thanks in advance.
