I will be applying for a permanent residency this October. My son was born here in Wolverhampton last year. Is it still necessary for me to apply for his dependent visa to be included in my application for permanent residency? Thanks a lot for the attention. Hope for a reply soon.

Hi all,
please could you help me with the following query.
My baby was born in Nov and i am currently on maternity leave and I am the main Tier 1 visa holder (was on HSMP for 2 years, renewed Nov 2008)
I intend to appy for my son's dep visa here in UK using the FLR(O) form.
1) I do not get paid fully - only the pension by my employer since the time I am on maternity leave. Can I produce these or the ones prior to that? (the last 3 months)
2) Certain fields in the application form like paying mortgage or rest are applicable for the child - as in previous posts its stated that the app should be filled as if the child is filling it in itself.

Any help in this regard is much appreciated. please share your experience, if possible on this

thanks,

My employer tasked me to search on the requirements to avail a baby's visa in the UK. He has a British Visa, his wife has both a Portuguese and Brazilian. Their child was born in the UK. My employer is currently in the Middle East. He wants them to join him. Can you help me, I am badly in need of answers.

Thank you very much.

Faithfully,
fortichj

What nationality is the baby?
Where does your employer wish them to join him?
What's is employer's status?

Thank you for the reply.

My employer is British and he has work Visa in Dubai.
His wife holds a Portuguese and Brazilian Visa. They are all in London.
The baby was born in UK. What are the requirements for the visa application that we need for the baby?

Thank you.

If the baby's father was British or had ILR/PR when baby was born, then baby is automatically British. No UK leave to enter/remain required. Just apply for baby's British passport.

Contact UAE embassy for information on UAE's visas.

Thank you Vinny,

I am clarified with that.

One last question, would he need to submit his passport to have the baby's passport processed? If so, what would he use in UAE?

Thank you in advance for your great help.

Hi Vinny

I am referring you to the topic above, in your answer you said:

If your child (304-309) is not travelling, then you do not need to make an immigration application for leave to remain for her/him (Section 4a - Children born in the United Kingdom who are not British Citizens).

Section 4a - Children born in the United Kingdom who are not British Citizens wrote:
1. INTRODUCTION
....
This section relates to children born in the United Kingdom on or after 1 January 1983 who are not British citizens because, at the time of their birth, neither of their parents was a British citizen or settled here. Such children do not have the right of abode and are subject to immigration control. They are not here unlawfully, however, and are not required to apply for leave to remain (see ANNEX P, paragraph 11 if further guidance is required on this point)...

You may wait and include her/him in your extension or settlement (except under long residence) applications; or immediately after a parent is granted settlement/PR, .............................

when you say under long residence, do you mean under the 10 years lawful residence or under the 14 years lawful/unlawful residence or BOTH

Thanks vinny for the reply

furthermore, you said

You may wait and include her/him in your extension or settlement (except under long residence) applications; or immediately after a parent is granted settlement/PR, .............................

do you mean that a parent can first get settlement/PR, even under the long residence, and then apply for the child's british passport?

No. Passport requires registration first.
