ILR query

This is second query. in my previous query I made small mistake. sorry for that.

I came to UK under Highly Skilled Migrant Program on 14 Oct 2007.
I need some information/clarification about the recently UPDATED policy on settlement for Tier 1 General.
Following are my basic details for your consideration for advising me.

Initial Entry Clearance Valid From : 23 jul 2007 to 23 jul 2009
Date I First landed in UK : 14 Oct 2007

Later converted to Tier 1(Gen) during extension in 2009. It is valid till 23 July 2012

Out of Uk details, during the complete period of time,till date as follows

Initial entry delayed ----------------- 81 days (unpaid)
11 sep 2008 to 21 sep 2008 ------------ 10 days (paid holidays)
26 dec 2009 to 25 jan 2010 ------------ 31 days (paid holidays)
1 may 2010 to 17 may 2010 ------------- 17 days (paid holidays)
29 may 2011 to 27 jun 2011 ------------ 29 days (paid holidays)
(Including weekends)

Based on above details, I need advise whether I'm eligible to apply ILR in end june/start of july 2012 or not?

1. At what date I can take appointment.
2. What about dependants. is there any minimum duration for which they have to be in UK continuously before applying ILR?
3. what type of evidence (documents) required to prove them that we both were married and living together?

1. You are eligible and you can apply within 28 days of your completing 5 years counting from the date the entry clearance is valid.
2. Two years.

Hi,

I have planned to go for ILR in first week of July as my visa expires in last week of july. Unfortunately my daughter visa expires in june.

what I have to do now?
Can I go for ILR without extending her visa?
IF I have to extend what to do?

If your leave is expiring in July, how come your dependant's leave is due to expire in June?

23rd june. Main apllicants expires on 23rd july

For the child to be included in your settlement application as a dependant, she must have valid leave on the date of such application.
So, you'll need to apply for extension for her ... but she'll only be given 1 month's extension (23-July). Expensive option!

Why did you not bring this anomaly to BHC's attention when you received her visa? Or to UKBA after she arrived in the UK? Consider doing it now ..... if you do not want to waste money on an extension application.

The address of the team (in UK) that you need to contact is given in the link provided above.

Since you have left all this to the last minute and postal communication will take time, your only option to get this sorted out before your leave expires is to try and find out the email contact or phone number of the named team. Only UKBA can share those details ... as such teams are "internal" teams.

What I can tell you is that the change / correction can be done in UK - by a team working from within the UK. But it is a race against time for you, IMHO.

Thanks a lot for your quick and proper guidance.

Uk immigration office at chennai issues a letter to correct incorrect endorsement of entry clearance without any fees. I have sent passport to Croydon office on 29th. Till now no response from them.


Do you have any idea how many days it takes and where to contact to find out the status?

I have received my daughter passport after 15 working days with amendment for new date.
