hello every body,
i have number of questions to ask as this website seems to b very helpful

1 i have to apply under eea family route eea form 2 as from 9 july 2012 rules are changing does that 18600 salary applies on my case ? i am goign to apply after 9 july and i am non eu my wife is from europe and she studies here full time. as she dont earn that much to show 18600 annual salary

2 my other question is being spouse do i have to show any of my minimum earnings ? as i dont earn that much so want to make sure do i have to show minimum earnings

3 i am on post study work visa on the eea form 2 options ther eis one option to apply as a student as my wife is student and other is economically self sufficient so i want to know whic one should b good for us either student or either self sufficient

is ther eany minimum maintiance funds required to apply under eea form 2 ? thanks very much to all in advance looking forward for an good advice :)

The changes to the UK immigration rules are not relevant to applications under EU rules. If your wife is not working you and her will need a comprehensive sickness insurance plan before you can qualify for a residence card.

If the EEA national is student, apply as such as the evidence required are simpler than self sufficient.

She will need a letter from university/college confirming her studies, a declaration signed by her that she has sufficient funds not to become burden on the state and a private health insurance (CSI) for her or a non-UK EHIC.

thank you jambo and luckapooka is there any salary requirement for non eu spouse to b eligible to apply as i dont earn that much just wondering that my salary which is under 12000 per year should be enough to apply ?thanks

It's all about the EU national exercising treaty rights. Your salary would only be relevant if the EU national were self-sufficient based on that money.
