Hi,

I applied my tier 1 at may 2010 and get 2 years leave to remain initially (expires at may 2012).
As I have 2 more years work permit visa prior to that so I apply the extension last month. Today get the BRP back and see my visa is only extended for further two more years (expires at feb 2014).

I think this is a genuine mistake by HO and I should have been granted for a period of 3 years for extension? And I believe the HO should correct this for me?

I email BRP team and they said nothing to do with them and i should write to case worker. In my approval letter i only have the name of the case worker but don't have its address? can anybody advice me how to get the address of the case worker?

Regards
itdc

Though the contact details (UK) are published under Entry Clearance guidance but the team attends to incorrect in-country endorsements too.

Thanks very much. I will try this one.
BTW, do you think i should have been granted for 3 years extension instead of 2 years under my circumstances? Or have anyone else in my similar position got granted 2 years extension before?

Thx

Its clearly stated on UKBA Website .

How long can you extend your stay for?

If we approve your extension application, you will be able to continue living and working in the UK for a maximum period of:

2 years if you are currently a Tier 1 (General) migrant and your current permission to stay was granted before 6 April 2010;

or

3 years if you are in any other eligible immigration category. At the end of this period, you may have lived continuously in the UK as a highly skilled migrant for 5 years.

You can then apply to settle permanently in the UK. If you are not yet eligible for settlement, you can apply for permission to extend your stay under Tier 1 (General) again.

Hi Sri,

I also have the same problem. Could you please let me know how you are getting this issue sorted out? Have you got any update from them?

I made an application for my visa extension at Croydon with Premium Service appointment.
Could you please suggest whether I also should we send letter to the below address? I am a bit confused.

UK Border Agency Immigration Group
T1 or T2 or T5 Workflow Team
North East, Yorkshire and the Humber Region
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
S3 8WA

What all documents do we need to send?
Could you please share your contact details. I will get in touch with you.

Thanks,
Shyam

Hi Shyam,

I have written a letter to case worker at Shefield with copy of my original (entry clearance) visa and extension visa (BPR card with 2 years on it).

Its' been 10 days, I have not received any updates from them yet. I am not able to get through customer care.

May be I will also write an another letter to the above address. Tell me from where did you get this address.

Please post any updates from your side.

Thanks,
Sri
