Addition Information before receiving the Reference Number

Can I send the additonal Information in support of my application before I receive the reference number?

Following is the exract from workingintheuk.gov.uk website:


7. Can I send additional documents after I have made the initial application?

You should send in all the required supporting evidence with your application. Failure to do so is likely to lead to the refusal of your application. You may send in additional documents provided they reach the HSMP team before a decision has been considered. Please send any clearly identifiable additional documents directly to the HSMP Team in Sheffield.

Will the HSMP team be able to consider the additonal documents to my original application without reference number, Just by the

I guess not..but also there is nothing specified about reference no as mandatory...

From my side, as docs to be safe, I used HSMP reference no..so that they can easily track my app...Luckily i have 3 days..as 30, 31, 1, they r not open,,,

I gues it will reach the HO on 2nd...both the degrees Masters and bachelors r evaluated to, i guess it will help Case worker...

For edu and eng requirements...

Sending additional documents without quoting reference number is very risky.

Try and get the reference number, then you can send additional documents if you consider them necessary for the HSMP approval.

Thanks for the informaton. I will try to get the Ref. No. first and then send additional documents.

Only thing that worries me is that before the additional documents reach the H.O. they should not make the decision with the already supplied documents.

Can we ask the H.O. to hold the processing, till I submit the additional documents?

Anybody having previous experience on the similar line, please share it.

my understanding was that it is too late once theyve taken the payment from you and issued a reference number. i.e. that is when they have decided you have submitted a valid application and nothing else can be sent in.

i decided to send in my P60/tax return for previous year this morning, even though it has no relevance to the 8months i am claiming for.

i stated the reason i was sending it in (i.e. people on internet have said theyve had application rejected due to no P60) and gave them my name, address, passport number, nationality to match it up with the application.

i feel better now having submitted everything that is humanly possible.
