Hi Guys

Just another question about claiming benefits. Me and my wife have ILR and have 2 kids both have British citizenship.
I am working full time and my salary is 28k. My wife is not working as the little one is too young right now
I am privately renting a 2 bed apartment and the rent is £1100/month. with the 2 kids and some credit card payments, it is quite difficult to pay the bills and rent all in one pay
Can i get any assistance from the Brent Council towards my rent? I am receiving child benefit for the first child and have recently applied for the 2nd one.

Please advise

Thanks and Regards

There's no restriction on you applying, but no one on the forum can tell you whether you qualify on your earnings. This link may help

With a salary of £28,000 you may not be. That's something you'll need to check. Your monthly rent appears to be very high for a 2 bedroomed flat. Have you considered looking for something more reasonable?
