Hello All,

I am in a very bad situation right now. I have applied for my PSW visa on 13th feb and i have submitted my biometric on 27th march and till now i dint get any information from UKBA. 2 weeks back my employer called me and she told me that she is sending a form to UKBA to know the status of my application through Employer Checking Service(ECS). My employer got the reply stating that " There is no outstanding application on my name ". So she is asking me to leave the job on coming saturday i.e 11th august. I requested her that i can talk to UKBA only after 13th August.. before that they wont reply so give me some time. But she said no.....

Please any one tell me what i have to do...My job is at risk....

I have contacted the citizen advice people. They have asked me to contact there legal advisors..

Please suggest me what to do...

If you employer doesn't show any flexibility sue the company, go to press / media drag UKBA along.

Hi Tanvi, it's better you contact your country's High Commission in UK. They should help you in this case. Also contact your MP as many people have contacted their MP's and have got positive responses.

Hope you get your documents and BRP soon. Good Luck!

Dear Tanvi

it is very sad to hear that your job is at risk. for your kind information I can share some info. UKBA employment checking service send such kind a letter always. asa result many people lose their job. my friend had lost his job but after PSW appeal employer gave him job back but did not pay for the period he was out of work.

can you tell us few things,
When did you start your job with your employer
who is your employer and
did you give them your copy of UKBA acknowledgment letter,

however if you loss your job you may take them in court for wrongful dismissal and you may claim compensation. why dont you talk to a lawyer. if you have financial difficulty , you may contact somebody who's name is in the forum.
only things \i can say you that you would not lose , you will always win if you get right legal support.

Contacting with MP would not resolve this matter and High commission does not have power to protect somebody's job due to immigration reason.

contact Mr marfat to get some advice free of charge.

At least you have been working all these while....lucky you.
Do whatever you can and if your employers still decides to let you off, hold your heads high and sign off cos they dont deserve to have you.
As for UKBA....it is well bro!

yasen 11

it seems UKBA has made decision mean they will sent your passport or docs within week time. after decision they needs info to sent for bio-metrics prints out and once it is done they dispose it out for posting . if they would refused you would have received your passport by now.
Good Luck in your PSW. let us know if you are sucess full.

My student visa was refused in September 2011 and I won the apple 10th of November 2011 discretionary basis. My course was finished on 7th of March 2012. Immigration Judge allowed leave to remain until 17th of March 2012. I have applied for Tier 1 Post Study Work on 12 of March 2012 without BRP card ( UKBA did not issue the card until that date). I received the tier 4 BRP card three weeks ago and resent to UKBA(valid from 28/06/2012 to 22/07/2012). Until now I have not received biometric invitation (but received Acknowledgement letter 24/03/2012 ). Its about 5 months. Is there any possibility my PSW application will be invalid or refused? Thank you

Thank you all for posting your timelines - it has been a great reassurance.

I finally recd. my documents yesterday:

Application sent: 19 March 2012
Biometrics submitted: 09 May 2012
Documents recd.: 08 August 2012
BRP: waiting

I didn't contact any MPs or complain to the UKBA.

I have a question for those who did receive their BRPs. I need to travel out of the country asap and I am not usually home during the day, so Were you able to arrange a date for delivery of the BRP? If so, How?
