Hi All,

Need some advice whether to go ahead with CIMA or ICAEW or try for Actuary qualification in UK.

My brother has recently moved to UK from India permanently. He appeared for Chartered Accountancy (CA) final exam in India in May and did not succeed.

Spoke with ICAEW and CIMA in UK, but unfortunately there are no exemptions for a student who has passed all the exams except for the final one (CIMA told I will get exemption for the basic subjects, i.e. 5). They said he has to be a fully qualified CA for the exemption.

So I am wondering what the step forward is

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Smitha
