Call HO and ask for your EEA passport return, normally it takes up to 10 days.

please help, as semester is starting soon and this is holding things up

one more question, i applied for EEA2 as my partner is working part time and will be a full time student in sept .. we attached only one pay slip> if we want to add more documents can we send them to ukba now ??

Got my Residence Card today !!! Very Happy
It was issued on 16/8/12 and was delivered today in Special Delivery envelope which I added during my application. My application was processed within 6 months time frame and I didn't send any email to follow up my case.

Best of luck to all.
Just be patient and wait for 6th month of application. Smile

Finally after a very long wait my RC has been issued, I got an email from the home office saying my RC was issued and will be dispatched today!

I attached a next day delivery envelope so here is hoping they use it Smile

I have a flight in Mid September and thinking of applying for a shengen visa just to avoid the annoyances of proving that an EEA 2 RC is valid when travelling with sponsor Smile

Anyway its been a very very long wait, I just have to wait a little bit longer to finally get this trauma behind us Smile

All the best for everyone out there

Hi.

We applied for my husband's RC last month and having just rung UKBA I was told they haven't assigned his application to a caseworker yet. I was also told to wait another 2 weeks then call back if we haven't received his COA. The woman on the phone gave me the employers helpline number for my hubby to take to interviews in the absence of written proof of his right to work: 0300 123 4699.

I suggest not to call until you hit 6 months - unless you have a particular urgent reason for needing your passport back earlier than that. After 6 months it's fair game. You could probably email earlier than that, since it sounds like it's taking the HO a couple of weeks to respond to mails anyway.
