Good news to share. I have just received an email from my solicitor today saying i have been approved a 30 months Discretionary Leave to Remain . Its 11 months of waiting from the time i lodge my documents but patience is a virtue as they say. And i got it on my daughter's 1st birthday. Hope some of you will also share good news soon.

Yes 2 months is not that long! just be patient and in the end you will see the brighter side of things. I took an Emglish exam (IELTS- academic) and submit it along with my other documents when i lodge the application.

I did my Biometric at Post Office on 19th July 2012, since then i've not heard anything from the UKBA. Just sent my case paperwork to my MP as required by him. Never know what's gonna happen. I apply base on article 8 too. My solicitor never heard from the UKBA yet too.

What a shame ! and your wife she has a visa already, so I don't know why they took that long to decide her application !!!! this is so weird , they don't have right to do that .
