Hi Papertrail, I'm so sorry that you still haven't gotten your biometrics appointment letter. If I remember from your previous posts, the UKBA has already taken payment from you, so that means that your application hasn't been rejected outright.. Small consolation!
Personally, I think your best bet is to sit tight for another 2 months (until you're past the 6 month mark) and then write to your MP. It's highly unlikely the UKBA will do anything to speed up your application before the 6 months is up. That's my game plan anyway!
The mods might have a better suggestion, if they're reading this? |
Hi Stephanielqy..Thank you.. Well they should should mention this in their website!..apply and buckle up for a straight trip to hell!!!! How do they deal with applications really? because a couple of people in this thread applied, in the same category as myself, later than i did and they have already got their BAL. Anyway i guess all cant be the same...
If its 6 months for the entire process...yeah..6 months waiting for that letter?? I have read of the applicant who waited for 8 months and i am so afraid of going down that road too. |

Tbh I thought that everyone joined a big queue to be assigned to a caseworker. Once "on the desk', a person's application is decided on its own merits and the time it takes for a decision to be reached is dependent on each case. This is pure speculation and I'm evidently wrong since you haven't even received the BAL yet!
When you rang them, did they say that your application hasn't been assigned to a case worker? When I called the UKBA the last time, they seemed to have the information about when the letter was sent out so if you haven't already, enquire about that?
Hang in there Papertrail! You never know, you'll probably get your passport returned and biometrics card a lot quicker than the rest of us! *big hug* |

Awww thanks Stephanielqy.. so sweet of you. Thank you! Well they said that my application was waiting to be allocated a case worker since January!!! Anyway am going to be patient and wait so am giving the post man a break...I have another two months before i hit the 6 months. I hope it doesn't take that long to get our applications on the damn case worker desks.
I hope that you get your card ASAP!**fingers and toes crossed for you**!! |

CAll the HO and ask for a BAL to be sent to you, thats taking the mickey. 4 Months is a long time, maybe they have just forgotten about you and you need to give them a wake up call, I know I would

hi everyone
me and my husband applied for FLR(M) on 2nd of December and still waiting. we contacted them they said that it is pending and nothing else. we wrote to our local MP to rise this with UKBA they took more than 3 weeks to tell us that our application is still being considered.
---have done biometric 6 months ago
---- wrote a letter to UKBA nearly 2 months ago still no reply.
any one is in same position?
please any advice is very helpful if anyone knows who we can write to, please let me know.
thanks |

Hi I applied for spouse visa last year in november 2011 through solicitor. After a couple of weeks they sent a letter to my solicitor asking about some dates of marriage missing on application form which my solicitor sent back within the time. Until then, I have not heard anything yet. It's been about 11 months now. I have tried ringing them and they say it's still in process and we cant tell you anything more than that.
I am very concerned and worried now. Please advise me what i should do now?
Thanks | |

Can people please tell me what their current visa is? Im just curious if the wait time will be the same for FLRM spousal extensions? Im noticing all of the April applicants were on student visas (tier 4) applying for limited leave to remain. Is anybody already on a limited leave to remain spousal visa and just extending their stay for a further 2 years and experiencing delays?
Thanks |
