Change of Employer

Hi all,

I have been working for this companyA just less than a year with WP for another 4 years. CompanyB wants to take me onboard and ready to do my work permit. The job roles are similar but the CompanyB is a small and not trading for long which is a bit risky.

I am worried that would the CompanyA(currnet employer) get informed if I the work permit from CompanyB gets approved and before even I get the FLR - Visa stamping done.

I know that you dont have to legally inform the current employer but dont want to messup in getting the reference letter which I will eventually need when I am applying for PR.

You can rest assured that Company A would not be informed about any new work permit application on your behalf by Company B. Your new work permit would be a private matter between you, the Home Office and Company B.

In the future when you apply for ILR you will only need a reference letter from your current employer at the time of application, who would hopefully be Company B. No reference letters would be required from previous employers.

One thing to keep in mind though is if the Company B is not treading for long time then it is possible that your WP will be initially approved by HO for only 1.5 Years and not 5 years so you will get another FLR stamp of a sorter period for new WP.
