how to check visa validity ?

Just Curious ! is there any way to check your visa validity whether it is genuine or not ?

Call the BIA? Some people have found their visas were not real, which must have been a shock! But, I think just calling the BIA might be the only way...someone else can confer?

what is BIA STAND FOR and what is procedure to ask them.

Perhaps the fact that one applied at the right place, with the right form and received it from the right address might be a giveaway that it is authentic...

I think BIA stands for Border and Immigration Agency.

The Border and Immigration Agency is a new executive agency of the Home Office. The Agency assumes the responsibilities of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) for managing immigration control in the UK.

You could start by making sure you get your visa directly from a British embassy, if you are applying from overseas, or directly from the Home Office or through an OISC-registered immigration agent if you are applying from within the UK.

But perhaps a more interesting question is what would make you question the validity of your visa in the first place?
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.
