Date of application: 15 June 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: 17 June 2013
Date of debit of fees: 19 June 2013 (paid by credit card)
Date of acknowledgement : 22 June 2013 (letter dated 19 June 2013)

Am hoping Postal is quicker than NCS in hope they want to return my Passport quicker with approval letter enclosed so they can save money by simply using my self address envelope
My approval letter came in my self addressed envelope along with my Passports. It's taken 8 working days from fee being taken.
Best Wishes everyone I think they have extra staff for the summer so hopefully everyone gets good news very soon

congratulations, do you mind if i ask what nationality have you applied as?
Yes my friend you are rightemontes wrote:My two pence here:
It's written all over the UKBA website stating that it can take up to 6 months to reach a decision. Even though people are getting their approvals after 3 weeks, 1 month or 2 months, it doesn't say anywhere that yours (or even mine) will take the same amount of time.
I can perfectly understand that we are all eager to receive the approval letter but if they say 6 months, there's nothing else we can do apart from wait.
Arshipaki - I also applied for my spouse's application on the 20th of April 2013 via Redbridge (Barkingside) received acknowledgement in about 7 days but haven't received any response after that - do you think I should also get in touch with the MP. Case was pretty straight forward as well. Also emailed the Home Office but their reply was that the application can take up to 6 months and they can't say anything.Arshipaki wrote:Yes my friend you are rightemontes wrote:My two pence here:

My one is ....
Apply through NCS Redbridge (ilford) on bases of spous of BC on 15th April 2013 recieved acknowledgment fees gone through. It's been nearly 12 weeks. But didn't get any response. I've sent email to my local MP to request about my application query because it is very simple and streight forward application not any conviction or any thing els.
I got letter few days after email from MP. Says "I've wrote to the homeoffice director urgently about your application as soon as I get more I formations I will let you know.
That is the thing we can wait only nothing els.
hbadami - where did you apply from ? and was it via NCS or post?hbadami wrote:Category: Tier One Dependent (1 Year) + Spouse Visa (2 Years) + ILR (4 months) + Spouse of British Citizen

Yes you can. This is secoud time I contact to the MP first time when my ILR was pending for four months. I think I got it because my area MP was informing me until I recieved my all documents back with ILR stamped. And the other thing I heard that MP's have power to ask/quiry to the homeoffice coz home office department is working under the parliament.rusticsaf wrote:Arshipaki - I also applied for my spouse's application on the 20th of April 2013 via Redbridge (Barkingside) received acknowledgement in about 7 days but haven't received any response after that - do you think I should also get in touch with the MP.
