ILR refusal plus appeal query

Hi forumites, I have an appeal against my refused ILR. The refusal was based on deception because of accountant's error. The solicitor is saying its a 50percent chance. My question is can d appeal be dismissed because I have a 7year old son and I also have a mortgage since 2009. Can they tell d person to leave d country despite having a 7yr old son and a mortgage here. Its sad that am suffering bcos of accountants error. Pls advice.

what exactly was the error and what amount of money are we talking?

I know its a bad news. But write more information

1)Which category you are at the moment ? I assume tier1

2)When you applied ?

3)What is the error -clerical error or major documents not submitting ?

4)Is your visa expired?

5)Also write the excat wording from refusal letter .

Helo all, was on tier 1 general visa. Applied for one day service for ILR in june based on salary and self employment (sole trader). Given further checks letter. Got a letter from HO in aug that there was d discrepancy in profit declared to hmrc and profit made and used as part. Of a previous tier 1 general applic. The error was from d acctant, he wrote a letter to this effect and ammended d tax return and all d tax outstandx was paid. All d docs on tax paid, acctant letter stating it was his error wqs sent back to HO. In nov they replied dat applic for ilr has been refused because of deception and that they are not sure business is genuine and the explaination acctant gave was nto credible. I hv put in my appeal and awaiting a date. Dats d story.

Can you confirm what was the outcome of your ILR appeal?

I know its been long time now, but just wanted to check what was the outcome? Did they grant you the ILR?
