Your naturalisation took 2 years, and now something has flagged up in your passport application too.
I suspect its something to do with your background or your details closely matching with someone on some kind of watchlist/blacklist. It could be similar name, DOB, place of birth, place of residence in home country, where you studied or worked or some other details that kind of resemble with someone else.
Since home office granted you naturalisation after two years, it would appear that they would have done extensive checks and enquiries on you and decided you are not the "bad person". Now since HMPO has picked up the same issue, I am sure they will refer it to UKBA and soon they will get confirmation that you are not that "bad person" but someone else. It might take a few weeks though.
nope. they want only uncancelled passport. no need to send brp as i got my passport today by doing the same.glenrock12 wrote:Hi, i have got one quick quires regarding passport application. i got my ILR in BRP (biometric resident permit card). so far i know when apply for passport you need to send all previous passport & naturalization certificate .now my qus is do i need to send my BRP (biometric resident permit card) as well .please clear me .thanks
BRP is not required as when you get your naturalisation certificate the BRP becomes irrelevant. You should still keep it with you though. You need to submit all previous passports and your naturalisation certificate along with the form, fee and photographs.glenrock12 wrote:Hi, i have got one quick quires regarding passport application. i got my ILR in BRP (biometric resident permit card). so far i know when apply for passport you need to send all previous passport & naturalization certificate .now my qus is do i need to send my BRP (biometric resident permit card) as well .please clear me .thanks

Dear Ayyubi72,Ayyubi72 wrote:No, you can't. You have to travel on an aeroplane or ferry or some other kind of transport. Passports are not big enough for anyone to travel on them.
