Can UK marriage be divorced abroad

A question about mine friend. Actually the EU national lady is from Lithuania and the non-eu man from Pakistan. Now lady want divorce. But due to family problems and his stressed mind man want to go home without involving in uk divorce process. In this case is there any severe consequences on the non-eu national while he was in his homeland? Now question:
will uk government/embassy will bring back uk to that person?
is that true that for divorcing abroad the both partners must be resident/domiciled there otherwise divorce cannot take place there.

Wedding is since 1 years and 7 months now. But non-eu Man not want to involve in any divorce proceeding and simply want to go home for forever then does uk authorities will trace or bring him back to uk? In Pakistan the marriages are Islamic system then how this uk marriage be challenged in Pakistan since it never been registered in Pakistan.

hello amber, After reading the point 13.4, does that mean that since the Lithuanian national is not national/domicile of Pakistan, so that this kind of marriage actually does not exist there and cannot be challenged there and it never be registered in Pakistan. But the question is that?
since no financial commitment/children involved then will the uk authorities/Lithuanian authorities bring back that person to uk or not?

As per my little knowledge in this matter, i think that marriage will have no legality/validity there (pakistan) because there the marriage is completely different than English and if that marriage never be registered there and no child/finance involved then no one will trespass/bring back that non-EU national from there. It is not a crime or threat to public, therefore, no government/authority has power to do so.

After amber reply it is clear that this divorce at abroad not possible because it should be effective means recognizable under that particular country's law. But in Pakistan the marriages are conducted under Islamic way, that english marriage is not recognizable then how divorce can be proceeded or recognized. Moreover, it was never be register there.
