Tell them their refusal is contrary to:

If you do not have a passport confirming your right of abode, you must apply for a certificate of entitlement in order to claim the right of abode.

I am British from naturalization and I am married with Pakistani girl she is in Pakistan I have a daughter she is 7 months old I applied for my daughter ROA visa in November 2013 I thought when I will get visa her visa then I will apply my wife spouse visa in April 2014 but they told me you just apply for her British passport. thanks in advance

hi sorry for that
1) I submit the application in November 2013
2)I submit the my naturalization certificate application form my marriage certificate and some other documents.
3) I applied in Islamabad bhc .
4) The did not give me any reason just saying you can apply for British passport
I think may be they refused because my wife haven't got visa because I am gona apply for my spouse visa in April 2014.if is any confusing I am really sorry.
please let me know what I do????

It has got nothing to do with your wife visa.

I was able to get ROA for my daughter without any issues. I submitted my application at Gerry's Lahore.

I submitted following documents.

My Naturalisation Certificate
Copy of my Passport
3 Months Bank Statement
Cover Letter explaining entitlement to ROA
Original Nikah Nama attested by union council as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Original Nadra computerised version of Nikah Nama
Baby's Birth Certificate (Both Hospital as well as Nadra one)
Baby's B form issued by NADRA

I am a British citizen otherwise then by descent and my daughter was born in Lahore. She acquired british citizenship under section 2(1)(a) of BNA 1981 and as such I had two option for her

1. Either apply for her British Passport or
2. Apply for Certificate of Entitlement to Right of Abode

I opted for option 2 as option 1 was taking minimum of 6 month time from Pakistan. The application form and supporting documents were pretty straightforward but I just want to know I want to apply for my son ROA visa on his Pakistani passport before my wife spouse visa but a bit confuse that should be ok if I apply for my son ROA visa before my wife spouse visa or I apply both together please give me advice

Just to be clear, who rejected the application and told you? Was it a formal written refusal?

I suspect it was someone from Gerry's, rejecting the application verbally?

If I'm correct, then consider making a complaint.

OP application was not rejected but was verbally refused to be accepted at BHC Islamabad. He was advised to apply for British passport directly. He is travelling this week to submit ROA application via Gerry's.

Then the BHC Islamabad staff member was insufficiently trained. As far as I'm aware, there's no requirement that a British citizen must apply for a British passport. Although they may have been trying to save the applicant some money. A British passport application is much cheaper.
