6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.

My period for ILR starts from 10/April/2009 but I was on other visa before. Should I put 10/April/2009 here OR the date on which I entered the UK on the other visa?

You need to enter the date you first entered the UK and subsequently have been extending your leave.

It clearly ask for the date on which your application is based on . You need to mention 10/april/2009.

This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK
As per your statement if OP mentions 10/april/2009, then that would contradict the above as OP was already in the UK and never entered on that date.

[b]There is no contradiction . Check various post and you will get answer . It basically refers to start date of qualifying period. Wait for another member to correct me if I'm wrong. [/b]

I am no Einstein but that tells me that the date should be 10/04/2009
An [Expensive] Immigrant journey has ended 19/08/2015. Good luck to you all out there...
