Hey Guys,

Nice to see so many getting extensions from HSMP to Tier1 without hassles. Hope mine is just as smooth as well. :)

Can someone also please post the list of documents they supplied with the application form? Would be very useful.

Visa approval

Post by sandeepvk » Mon Dec 21, 2009 11:59 am

Hi All,

I got my Visa approval today. I have been a silent reader of this forum. My timeline is below
Current visa expires: Jan 02, 2010
Date Applied/Docs sent: November 16
Date Docs reached HO: November 17
Date Payment Deducted: November 19
Acknowledgement letter: November 23
Date Approved: December 11
Date Passport/Docs received from HO: December 19

Result & VISA stamped: Approved, new expiry Jan 02, 2013

I had not kept the self addressed envelope. So the documents came through signed for post. It was a nightmare waiting for this as my application had some issues. I am a contractor operating through a limited company. During the initial months of company formation, I had withdrawn Salary and Dividends as 2 or 3 payments each month. In one month I took more salary than what my accountant calculated. This was reduced from the dividend taken. My payslips and dividend vouchers show only one amount for each month. Everything was a real mess. I explained this in the covering letter in tabular form. Added my comments to each payment and made it clear. I think this helped as otherwise the caseworker would have been really confused. I would be glad to help anyone who is in a similar situation. Please send me a message if you need help as I wouldn't be visiting the forumn everyday.

Good luck to all who are still waiting.

Post by veera4u » Fri Dec 25, 2009 7:08 pm

Hello all,

Congrats! to all who got their extension, and
All the best! for those who are waiting for it.

I just wonder if anyone applied by person in any of the public enquiry offices. I was trying to book an appointment by online but unfortunately all of them been booked already for next few weeks

I would appreciate if anyone share their experience on this regard.

Regards,
Veera

Got my HSMP visa extended, by post this morning, to Tier-1 (General) + Dependant spouse

Current visa expires: 29th Jan 2010
Date Applied/Docs sent: 1st December
Date Docs reached HO: 2nd December
Date Payment Deducted: 2nd December (Postal orders)
Acknowledgement letter: 5th December
Date Approved: 29th December

Thankyou so much for all the support i got from this forum. Mine was a complicated case (atleast i thought so). I was out of work most of the year & worked for only 5 months in the past 12 months, with 2 employers, switching from permanent to contracting......But with the help i got from the seniors here, detailed everything with cover letters & it all went smooth.

Thanks
Srini

How do you people come to know about the 'Approved Date'? Do they send a seperate letter to let you know the approval status?

HSMP Extension age issue

Post by aniluk76 » Sat Jan 09, 2010 12:00 pm

Hi Friends.
I am a newbie here. I am a HSMP visa holder planning to go for extension.
Here is the points for age:

If you are under 34 years of age you will gain points based on age.
29 or under - 20 points
30 or 31 - 10 points
32 or 33 - 5 points
34 or older - 0 points

My date of birth is 15/06/1976(dd/mm/yyyy) and my visa ends on April 2010. Now i have completed 33 years and running on 34th year. Am I eligible to get 5 points? Its confusing please help.
Thanks in advance.

Looking at the points marked in RED, do you think that you are having points for age?

A suggestion, can you post your queries in a separate thread, as this sitcky is meant for different purpose?

hi guys,
I have applied for the Tier 1 Extension visa on 15th Dec 09. Due to Royal Mail or Natwest laziness, I was unable to attach the original 12 month bank statements for the salary. I have claimed 30 points and my previous earning and period is from 1st Dec 08 to 30th Nov 09.

Bank Statements attached are

Dec 08 (Original Bank Statement supplied)
Jan 09 (Online Print WITHOUT any stamp as local Branch can only go 6 months back thus unable to verify)
Feb 09 to Jun 09 (Original Bank Statements )
July 09 to Nov 09 (Print out statements with bank stamp on each page)

I am very worried about the Jan 09 bank statement as it is just an online print. I have supplied the 12 month payslips and p60. Can you guys please suggest do I stand any chance to get approval?

I submitted the orignal bank statements to Home Office on 21/12/2009 via special delivery as I recieved them from bank. Will they accept it ?

Hi Adnanmirza,

Check the below link. In this post krisdigitx has posted that he sent original bank statements later and they were accepted. But, he did mention that he called the customer service. So, maybe you need to call them as well. Maybe PM krisdigitx and get his experience.

Hello All,

I had submitted the documents for HSMP visa extension to Tier 1 on the 06th Jan 2010.

Because of the snow, eventhough I sent my documents by Royal mail special delivery, the royal mail website shows that it was delivered on Jan 11th 2010.

However I have not yet received any acknowledgement back and also no amount is deducted from account till today (Jan 13th 2010) on the visa processing fees.

I am really worried whether the application reached home office or not? What is happenning to my application?
Any suggestion from you on what I should do?

Thanks for your help.
