You could possibly extend your DLR for another 3 years and qualify for settlement after a total of 6 years DLR (I assume you have only had DLR for 3 years). Otherwise, you may be able to switch to flr(m), subject to meeting the requirements, although the new route to settlement as a spouse is 5 years.

I think you will be better off with extending your DLR for another 3 years. After this you can apply for ILR.

If you apply for flr(m) you will need to meet the new minimum £18600 income requirement. (other members may confirm this and point out if I am wrong)

So, if you apply for flrm, you will get two 2.5 years visas. (total of 5 years) and after 5 years you will apply for ILR.

But if you just extend your DLR then you will only need 3 further years to get ILR, and no new £18600 income requirement.

I don't believe OP will be subjected to the new rules. Her leave was issued on the basis of the old provision prior to July 2012. It was issued on the basis of her family life. Therefore she will continue to benefit from that provision. After 6 years, an ILR application could be made.

DLR is no longer available for family life, so there are no new rules per se, they would still be on a 6 year route if they extended their stay (if available). The form to be completed is flr(o).

Yes, the current policy is that people who got DLR on the basis of policy inforce before 9th july will continue to be treated under the old policy. So OP will get another DLR for 3 years and then ILR.

I meant if OP now wants to somehow wants to get into flr(M) route, would the new rules apply?

Do not see any point in flrm though.
