Both haematologists and pathologists are medical doctors. If you're a haetamotology technician or pathology technician that's totally different. If the person is registered with a professional body then it's likely to be accepted as a professional.neoseal wrote:Biomedical Scientist are not doctors, they are Microbiologist, Pathologist, Haemetologist, Histologist, Blood Transfusion specialists etc, people who do all kind of blood, tissue, organ, body fluids tests. They hold either bachelor or masters degree in their respective field and are member of Institute of Biomedical Science. This institute is a professional accreditation body to issues the title of Biomedical Scientist.
On the list of professional referee all other people like simple bank staff or mortgage advisor are listed so I presume Biomedical Scientist is acceptable because it has far more rigorous process to get the title and is thru a professional body. Referee list is not exhaustive.
