ILR query

Hi,

I have a query regarding ILR and greatly appreciate if anyone could answer it.

I came to UK on 12th May 2002 on a work permit through company X. I worked for the next 3 years with the same company and resigned on 8th April 2005. However my visa based on company X's work permit was valid until Dec'2005. I then joined company Y on a new permit and Visa from 13th April 2005 onwards.

I had a 4 day break in between the 2 work permits but had a valid visa during this period (visa based on company X's work permit). Can I apply for ILR now as I am almost finishing 5 years on work permit?

Yes. You are allowed of upto 28 days of break between the work permits and so the break will not affect your ILR application. Make sure you hold the pass certificate in the Life in UK test when you apply.

Yes its fine,

Make sure you take all the Workpermits with you, as I changed like 4 jobs and I was asked for all the workpermits. It would be beneficial to make a table with dates of all the changes with HO reference number.
