DID I BREAK 10 YEARS CONTINUITY ? PLZ HLP

hi all ,

can you tell me if i had break 10 years continuity

1. i went to croydon home office to get my visa on the same day on 24/10/07 but i was sent home with a letter in hand of another
appointment date which is 08/09/07 ( two weeks later), because they wanted further academic papers . and on the 2nd schedule i was granted my visa

2. Again , i send my passport for extension on 25/10/09 , acknowledge recieved on 28/10/09. but my documents was returned due to
inappropriate photograph on a date i cant exactly remember . but was given 28 days to resubmit my application ,, and i did that with in 20 days

Can any one explain did i break my continuos residency

on first occasion my visa expired on 31/10/ 07

on 2nd occasion visa expired 31/10/09
document returned on 11/11/09,, but cant exactly remember the date( but did that with in 28 days) i send my fresh application , are those days counted as overstayer

I believe that you should be okay on both occasions.

The first occasion was in-time as you had applied on 08/09/07 before your leave had expired on 31/10/ 07.
The second occasion was okay as you had re-submitted your application within 28 days after expiry of leave.

hello vinny,

if my application was sent back on 11/11/2009 (received date 14/11/2009 ), when doest this 28 days start count from ? is it from the day of expiry or from the of application sent back?
