switching from contractor to staff

Hello,

I am contracted to a agency and work for a firm. I have been issued T2 general permit by the agency. Now the company which I am working for wants me to be the staff and I would prefer that. So what is the visa process I would have to go through and also should the dependent have to apply again along with the main applicant.

Do the firm who wants to hire me, should give a labour test? because I have already been working here for 2.5 years in the firm.
