ILR Success @ Belfast

Post by MNB_26 » Sat Feb 14, 2015 11:07 pm

Hi Guys ,

Firstly many thanks for the support and the information this forum provided me for applying ILR . please find my check list of docs which I have provided as below:-

1) SET 0 Form (5 year Tier 1 G)
2) PBS print out
3) 12 months bank statements
4) Employer letters ( current and previous)
5) 12 payslips
6) 5 Year Tax document from HMRC
7)LI-UK Certificate

Notes :-

Had only 70 days of absences in last 5 years of T1-G stay so didn't bother for any letters .
No Q&A from case worker at all .
The whole process was smooth and nice in Belfast ....went @ 9:00 ---> out by 10:30

my only suggestion is keep it simple and play it kool .

Cheers Guys :)

Hi,

I would like to post my recent experience at belfast PEO. My application was via tier 2 route and i had a conviction (simple caution ) about 7 years ago. Initially i was worried about this while applying and feared that i may be rejected, but fortunately everything went smooth.

Appointment was on 10th May 2016 at 9:10 at Belfast Passport office. Yes the Belfast PEo is closed now and they accept application at HM Passport office.

We reached very early about 8:15 and were immediately taken in after a airport style security check. We were asked to be seated. Around 8:50 a lady called me and took my application and all the relevant documents (specified below). After about an hour or so we had our fingerprints taken and after another 2 hours we were given the decision that it has been successful. Not a single question has been asked and everything went very smoothly.

Docuemnts Provided

Prefilled application form for me and my wife (as dependant)
last 6 months pay slips (both of us)
Last 2 years bank statements (both of us, we did not had any joint a/c)
Electricity bills in joint name (2 years)
Driving licence counterpart (both)
Letter from employer
Mortgage statements (joint name)

i just thought of sharing my experienc with you guys and i you have any questions in relation to prep.

Thanks

Hi kaps2804,
I noted that you apply for ilr via tier 2 route. I wonder if you submit any previous employer letter for absences or any other confirmation from them regarding the length of service & pay.

I only have historic letter and my solicitor is suggesting it may raise questions from case worker.

Thanks for the info though,
mmo

Hi MMO,

I was with one employer for whole period of 5 years and therefore i have attached just one letter from my HR regarding absences. I believe you have recently changed employer on Tier 2,so yes i think it may be safe to get a letter from you previous employer if possible explaining any previous absences. But even if you don't you can justify that you do not have any contact with previous employer and the difficulty in obtaining letter and Home office should be able to consider this.

Thanks
