Post by gmhsmp » Wed Aug 22, 2007 12:50 pm

Hi friends,

Im new to this group , bcoz i dont know abt this forum.
I applied for HSMP 2 months ago.. still not yet get approval.
In the previous earnings section i supplied 12 months payslips,FORM 16 & letter from employer stating my Gross salary.
Is it sufficient to claim points ? Plz hep me on this issue.

if your payslips are computer printouts then it should be stamped and signed...

letter from employer on the letter head stating gross salary for the CLAIMED PERIOD...

it would have been better if you had submitted bank statements as well.

I submit the payslips in the company letterhead with seal & sign.

I submit letter from employer on letterhead stating gross salary at the time of issuing that certificate , but not for the entire claimed period as you said.

I missed bank statements, bcoz my bank stmt doesn't show " By Sal company name" , it is in the format of " By Transfer company name(Abbrivated form) company A/C num"

What i thought is this may create confusion for caseworker bcoz my bank stmt is not in the right format.

Sorry for being ignorant as i am from UK, is form 16 the tax return certificate? If yes then does it cover the entire 12 month claim period? if not then youe evidence has to be exceptional which requires you to submit two evidences: letter from employer (which u have) and bank statements (which you haven't).

Hi Rajat ..

Thnx for reply.
1. At the end of the financial year (1st April to 31st March), the employer gives employee, a Form-16 which will have the details about the income received and the tax deductions made during the year.

2. Once Employee receives Form-16, he needs to fill up an Income-Tax Return form with his income details and submit it to the Income-Tax office along with Original FORM-16. The Income Tax Form needs to be filled & submitted in duplicate.

3. Once Income Tax Office receives the Income Tax Form, they validate the same and return the DUPLICATE COPY of the Income Tax Form with a Seal of Income Tax Office (ITO) on it, as acknowledgement and is considered as an Original Income Tax Return Document .

My form 16 covers full claimed period.

Hi GmHsmp / Roy_Rajat
Form 16 is not an acceptable form of evidence. Refer to the Case worker's guidelines.
Only Saral for is accepted.

Also Gmhsmp did your letter from employer mention that you are employed with them for the last one year. I guess, if your letter mentions only the gross salary then it should mention the period taken into consideration along with the date you joined the company.

Cheers
