Timeline for SET(O)

Post by ismangil » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:58 pm

I am going to keep track of my postal SET(O) ILR application on this thread:

Basis: 5 years HSMP

20/08/2007: Application received by BIA (ack letter dated 20/08/07 received 22/08/07)
21/08/2007: Credit card transaction date for the fee

Current processing queue: http://bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/applying/m ... plication/

Stay tuned...[/url]

29/08/2007: Indefinite leave to remain granted (date on Residence Permit sticker)
05/09/2007: Passports (inc all important documents submitted) received! 8)

Now that is what I call very quick, and also the processing queue page is not accurate!

Next, Child Benefit!

Congrats Perry,

It's good to see the first batch of HSMPers getting their ILRs (albeit 1 year later than you would originally have thought). Most other cases of ILR on this board seems to have been combinations of WP and HSMP.

Hi Perry Can you tell us if you are currently working and if there might have been any issues on your HSMP when you submitted?

Yes, I was one of the original 1st batch, granted HSMP June 2002. And got caught on the 4-to-5 debacle.

Yes, I am currently working in fact on the same job since Jan 2001 (I was on student dependent visa back then before switching to HSMP when it became available in the beginning of 2002).

I guess I would what you call a straight forward case. I only went abroad for a 3-4 weeks every year for holiday. All listed on the form.

And as I mentioned I never even changed job, so one employer letter is enough to cover the whole period.

So you provided an employer letter and what did the letter say, what about your p60's?

The letter said that I was employed full time as permanent employee since Jan 2001. That's it.

I only provided the latest P60, together with last three payslips, and last three months bank statement.

PS: Hooray, 50th post means now I am not Junior anymore!!

You also waited to do your ILR even though you were elgible in jan 2007 so you waited .5 years more than necessary. any reason why?

Sorry I was not clear on the dates. The exact HSMP date was 21 Jun 2002. Therefore by 21 May 2007 I was eligible for ILR. However I have holiday plans abroad for 25 July, and I didn't want to risk it. So I delayed applying for ILR until after holiday. So in reality I did delay it by about 3 months.
