which visa for Child if parents ILR is delayed

Hi, I will be applying for ILR with my wife in July. Our current Tier 2 visa expires in mid september.
I am planning not to include my pbs dependent child on ILR application as he is UK born and now on dependent visa. Could anyone tell me what visa type my child would be eligible for extension just in case we do not get a decision on ILR application same day and takes long time.

No need for any visa for your child as he born in UK and u will register him BC when u get your ILR.
