NATURALISED, NO UK PASSPORT AND ILR ON EXPIRED PASSPORT

Post by calebed » Thu Jun 25, 2015 8:45 pm

Hello, this is my first post here and I would appreciate some advice please. Following the birth of our child, wife and I have decided to invite her mother over for a visit to see her latest grandchild and I am having to send some supporting documents. I have a valid ILR on a Ghanaian passport that expired this month. I also have a naturalisation certificate as I have only just done that, but yet to apply for a UK passport. Which of them should I use to support her application, the ILR on the expired passport or my naturalisation certificate? Thanks in advance.

It might be wise to submit a legally certified copy of your naturalisation certificate, in the event that you decide to apply for your British passport while you mother's visa application is being processed.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
