Options to come back for UK born child travelling to India

Hi all,

I have searched a lot on this forum and can identify bits and pieces to answer my question. So thought will summarize my findings as it may be useful for others too.

Our daughter was born in UK earlier this year and holds Indian passport with NO UK visa. One of the parents got ILR last month and we applied for her MN1 registration based on that. Now my wife and daughter needs to tarvel to India urgently and MN1 applications are taking around 4-5 months for processing, so we dont expect to hear anything till Nov. Can someone please suggest what options do I have to bring my daughter back to UK once they reach India?

1. We can apply for her British passport in India after MN1 application is approved but I understand it can take upto 8 months.
2. Apply for settlement visa for my daughter but not sure if we can do it once her MN1 is granted and she becomes British citizen.

If there are any other options as well, please let me know. Also if any one else has been in this situation, I would really appreciate if you can share your experience.
