Clarification on English test requirements

Post by renifer » Sun Oct 11, 2015 4:44 pm

Hello,

This might be a stupid question, but I've learnt to question everything in the application process that I am not sure of... This is about proving the level of English for a citizenship application. I have gone through https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... entres.pdf and it *seems* to me that ANY of these (B1-C2) can be used to apply for citizenship. However, the websites provided e.g. http://www.trinitycollege.com/site/?id=3218 make a distinction between which test is used for which purpose which just serves to confuse me further.

My question is, can I select any B1-C2 test or do I have to follow the advice on the test centre's website (e.g. Trinity says GESE Grade 5 for citizenship)?

Thanks in advance.
