Premium service appointments for next year impossible to get

Post by wazz127 » Thu Nov 12, 2015 11:44 am

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems getting appointments for early next year ? Does anyone have advice how to get an appointment ? Every day I look I see an extra day added (now in Feb) but no appointments although there are lots of appointments for Nov-Dec... What time should I look ? Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

You can only book appointments 6 weeks in advance, so if you want an appointment in February, it is far too early to be able to book.

Hi, Thanks so much for your reply!

I've heard so many different things now I'm not sure what to believe! On the one hand I've been told they release appointments everyday for 42 days in the future - that would mean they are releasing appointments for Feb every night. I've seen notices of people struggling to get appointments which I assume applies to these kinds of appointments ? If they only release appointments 6 weeks ahead that is a huge relief!

Thanks!

42 days ahead (6 weeks) doesn't take you to February. :? At present appointment slots are only released up until the last week in December.
As CR001 has advised, you are looking too far ahead.

Hi Wazz127,

Its 42 calendar days (not working or business) in advance.

For example,

You are looking for a PSO appointment on 15 Feb, using
http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd ... ad=42&rec=,

will give you 42 days from 15 Feb, which is 04 Jan. So you would be able to book your appointment on 04 Jan the earliest if looking for an anointment to attend on 15 Feb.

Also you might have to be quick as number of appointments released each day at each PEO is as follows,

1) Belfast = 12
2) Cardiff = 26
3) Sheffield = 30
4) Glasgow = 35
5) Solihull = 40
6) Liverpool = 58
7) Croydon = 220

Total PSO appointments available at all PSO in the Great Britian for one day = 421(per day)

a) Appointments are available from 42nd calendar days of making an application.
b) New appointment slots are released between midnight and 6 am between Monday to Friday.
c) Cancelled appointment slots are NOT reopened.

The above is confirmed by home office in a communication through Freedom of information act at following,

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... 2.pdf.html

Its true that couple of more weeks from 42 calendar days are highlighted at PSO website. But the only appointments available to book in advance are from 42 calendar days from the day you wish to attend the PSO.

Hope that helps.

All the best.
