ILR via TIG

Post by David31 » Fri Jan 15, 2016 9:51 am

Hello everyone,

Newbie here so please forgive any possible errors/mistakes.

My husband & I are due to apply for our ILR shortly. Actually, we can apply anytime from now. My questions however, are:

The accountant has stated our taxes (CT & SA) aren't due to be filled until April & June respectively. However by this time, our visas would have run out. ( he's combining payee with being a company director )
So, what would we be taking with us to the HO as evidence(s) of tax payments ?

More so, our previous earnings were a combination of my husband's salary here and a sole trading business from abroad.
Does the HO require evidence of payments of these taxes from abroad?
We intend on using the premium service, do you suppose this is a reasonable option?

Can I just quickly mention the only "evidence" of payments of such taxes available to us are just the financial statements as produced by the accountants. Will this probe a hitch?

The country in question isn't a place you would expect things to be done ASAP so getting whatever is needed might be a long thing, if that makes any sense ?

Someone help please.

Thanks.

Still on this please people ....

I read somewhere about double taxation. So, having paid the taxes abroad, would we still be required to pay here ?
The country in question has a double taxation agreement with the U.K.
What I struggle understanding is , this was done in 2010, if we were to pay again here, what would we require pleas?

I'll be grateful for a response(s) please.
