Eea4 to apply nationality

Hi guys,
First of all thanx to all the moderators who have helped me over the years to get my PR.
Now i am back with another issue , i am due to apply for nationality in june 2016 and right now i hold PR which was issued on an a4 paper in june 2015, i got divorced with my ex who was my eea national family member last year and this year i got married to a Pakistani National and shes pregnant and we r having a baby soon. I have applied a new case as her partner so she can have a further leave to remain here since shes a student in UK.
I have recently applied a case for her and sent my passport to Home Office as the sponsor, i have passed life in Uk and B1 this year, the question is that since i have sent my passport to Home Office can i apply for my own nationality without the passport being present or do i have to wait till my passport is returned by HO ? I have rang NCS Manchester today and all they said is that they r not sure if i can send the application for nationality through them since i dont have the passport on me, any suggestions guys ? Shall i wait for my passport or shall i send the application ?

P.S i am eligible for nationality on 10 of june which is next month.

You need your passport to apply for citizenship.

You will have to wait till your passport is returned.

Thanks ever so much for replying back ... i guess i have to wait but never mind.
I have one more question , on the citizenship form it says that i need to give them 10 years work history but in my 10 year in UK i have had 3 breaks, the main break was in 2011-2012 when i was out of work for around a year ... does that make a difference ? Other two break were around a month or so while i was looking for a job.

Employment is not a requirement for citizenship. Just complete the form with the detail as required.
