Can't do biometrics in 15 days. Will HO let you delay it?

Hi,

I applied for MN1 for my daughter, 6, last week by nationality checking service. I just received a letter by post today saying that she needs to get her biometric enrolment done within 15 working days. I was not aware of this when I made the application. Unfortunately she went overseas for school holidays last weekend and won't be back to the UK for another 5 weeks.

I just emailed Home Office stating this and asked them whether I can delay the biometric enrolment until the first week of Sept.

Has anyone seen such a case as this? Is being overseas for holidays an acceptable reason for not being able to complete biometric enrolment within 15 working days and delaying it?

HO will send another letter which will give her just 10ays to enrol biometrics.

After that application is rejected.

Hello CR001, is it still the case in 2018 that HO will send a second reminder if I've missed/can't manage to enroll the bio info with the time frame of first letter. I have a business travel lasts 3 weeks starting this Sunday, but I gauge that the bio enrollment letter will arrive Monday or Tuesday. So I think i will definitely miss the deadline unless I cut my trip prematurely.
