tier 1

Post by notty » Fri Jun 13, 2008 1:48 am

hi there
i am going to apply for tier 1 from student visa

i have done PGDMS here in UK in 2008, can i use that PGDMS to get my qualification points?

i came here in JAN07, before that i have done full time course of Graphic designing from institute in pakistan it was six months course, i started that in JULY06 and completed in DEC06, will HO consider me as a student from
july06 or from JAN07?

If from JULY06 then what documents are required from my pakistani institute.

I am showing earnings from pakistan, i was working in a company from APRIL04 to JUNE05 as a marketing manager, i've earned handsome money out of it. the company was doing marketing/advertising projects in real estate, in that period they have done marketing/advertising for some housing projects and for some shopping malls. but now a days there is downfall on that company coz real estate is almost stopped from last 1 year in pakistan so company is just on breakeven. so does it matter or not?

and does INTEGRA investigate and visit employer in each n every case. and what kind of questions they will ask to employer.

I have my payslips and Tax returns stamped by IT office with confirmation letter, is that enough evidence to get my earning points

Guess who they had in mind when they wrote this.

Why don't you use PM feature (if you have a specific member in mind), rather than bombarding the forum with your multiple posts, knowing fully well that you cannot delete anyone of those...anyways just an advice, please don't take any offence to it.

when i was submitting my entry there was some error, i dnt knw whether its on server or on my broadband but 5, 6 times i tried but it was showing error then i tried on other topics to submit my question then again it showed error, I think on that time it was showing error but question was submitted as well.
I didnt knw that the people on this forum do mind if somebody facing some problems, instead of mentioning the links of my repeated entry and make fun out of that it was better that u suggest me something in my case.
if repeated entries make burden on this forum then ur this entry is also the waist and one or two people more comment on my repeated entry, it doesnt mean anything, I think this forum is to help people no to make fun, and i was litl bit impressed by ur answers I thought u got the knowledge thats y i asked, I didnt knw u have this kind of attitude as well.

Notty,

I hope everyone in this forum sincerely want to help others and I am sure there is nothing written here to offend you or make fun.

Its purely an inconvenience for rest of the members to see your duplicate posts as many others are also in stress due to their situation....

Your worry is definetly concerning but dont take any personal offence in mind, I am sure as someone suggested - PM senior members , i am sure they will help

If you had posted the query properly and deleted the multiple posts (atleast the content) people would have replied to you by now, instead of writing all these messages to explain the rules of the forum.

i have done PGDMS here in UK in 2008, can i use that PGDMS to get my qualification points?
Please check on the self assessment tool to find out if the qualification and the institution is listed.
i came here in JAN07, before that i have done full time course of Graphic designing from institute in pakistan it was six months course, i started that in JULY06 and completed in DEC06, will HO consider me as a student from july06 or from JAN07?
Yes. The following from the guidance notes should be helpful

"To qualify for the full-time study provision applicants must establish that they either:

• Are currently in full-time study; or
• Have finished a full-time course within the 12 months immediately prior to
their application.

C3.30 Where an applicant can establish that they qualify for the full-time study provision, they may submit evidence for earnings for a period of 12 of the 15 months immediately prior to the commencement of their period of full-time study.

C3.31 Where an applicant can establish that they have undertaken more than one course of full-time study, with less than 12 months separating each course, a period of 12 of the 15 months directly prior to the commencement of their first course of full-time studies will be considered.

C3.32 If the applicant has not yet completed their studies, the date of application will be considered in lieu of the end-date for their studies. "

If from JULY06 then what documents are required from my pakistani institute.
Please see the following:

"1. An original letter from the academic/educational institution confirming the period of full-time study.
This document must be original, on the letter-headed paper of the academic/educational institution and must bear the official stamp of that institution. It must have been issued by an authorised official of that institution and must confirm the following details:

• The applicant’s name;
• Course of study undertaken;
• Start and End dates of the period of study (or confirmation that the study is
ongoing);
• Confirmation that the applicant was a full-time student during this period of
study.

Where the course has been completed, the date on the letter provided must post-date the course completion date. Where the course is ongoing, this letter must pre-date the date of application by no more than 12 months.

Where an applicant wishes to have more than one course of full-time study taken into account, they must supply an original letter for each separate period of study claimed.
"

but now a days there is downfall on that company coz real estate is almost stopped from last 1 year in pakistan so company is just on breakeven. so does it matter or not?
No, as long as the company is in existance.
and does INTEGRA investigate and visit employer in each n every case. and what kind of questions they will ask to employer.
Mostly yes. They ask questions about your salary/ period of employment etc.
I have my payslips and Tax returns stamped by IT office with confirmation letter, is that enough evidence to get my earning points
Yes

Hope this helps.

I used the guidance note available on VFS- India web-site. But the c3.30 can also be seen on BIA website. This is the link and the following is the relevent portion:

"67. Points for Previous Earnings can be claimed in respect
of any single, consecutive 12 month period from the 15
months immediately prior to the date of application. The only
circumstances where an applicant may claim points for a
12 month period of earnings from outside of this period are
where:
• The applicant can establish that they have been absent from
the workplace at some point during the last 12 months, due
to full-time study (initial applications only);

74. The full-time study is designed to allow applicants to claim
points for previous earnings under Tier 1 (General) where they
have been unable to earn during the 12 months preceding the
application due to a period of full-time study. This option is
only available to initial Tier 1 (General) entrants.
75. To qualify for the full-time study provision applicants must
establish that they either:
• Are currently in full-time study; or
• Have finished a full-time course within the 12 months
immediately prior to their application.
76. Where an applicant can establish that they qualify for the fulltime
study provision, they may submit evidence for earnings
for a period of 12 of the 15 months immediately prior to the
commencement of their period of full-time study.

of application will be considered in lieu of the end-date for their
studies.
"

There are a number of good templates on the forum. Please use the search tool.
do i need to mention the current position of the company which i said it is in crises....and do i need to mention about my job description....??
No, why should you? The only thing that you need to ensure is that the company is up and running. Has a valid telphone number listing in the directory and there is someone who can pickup the phone and give credible and correct replies when a call from heaven (read INTEGRA) comes.

it means he was geniun employee but his company on that time was not in a good position something like that...
what is ur openion on this....?

i've done MBA from pakistan, but em claiming points on my PGDMS which i've done in UK, do i need to send my MBA degree with my application n i was on the managerial position in the company so shud i have to mention in the covering letter that i've done MBA with good GPA n i was capable for this position.

in guidance policy they mention about bonuses and allownces that earning may include bonuses and allownces but they havnt mention about commissions, may it include in earnings or not?

Login and for the posts in question - click "edit", use mouse / keys to select "entire content" of your post and press "del", then click "submit". It will not delete the post altogether but will delete the content (better than nothing) and tidy up the discussion. Now you know!!.

Would have liked to offer some suggestions that would help you, but having come across this post, I think it will be in my best interest to stay away from this discussion.
