Cohabitation letters

Post by Tribaldan » Thu Jan 16, 2020 2:34 pm

Hi all, hope you are having a good 2020 so far.

My husband is applying for ILR in March and just getting cohabitation evidence together. We live with my parents so utility bills are limited.

The only thing we have in joint names is our bank account. I have a couple of questions surrounding this.

1) Can we submit bank statements that are addressed jointly? I will make it clear in covering letter that the statements are being submitted outside of the financial evidence and that separate statements will be submitted for that.

2) I understand the requirement is for 6 letters from 3 different sources. That means will will have to submit a further 8 letters (4 each) is that correct?

3) If so, Can we submit two bank statements, dated months apart? with the individually addressed letters from different sources?

I have a rough idea of what other letters to submit - Pension statement (One from Husbands Pension provider and one from mine. Different companies), NHS letters (Including a fit-note which includes date and address), a GP Patient survey from NHS, letters from employers. Do these sound official enough to be accepted?

I am spreading these letters out as much as possible over the last two years.

Thanks for your time.

One question,

Can we submit 5 join bank statements spread out and the one letter each from 2 different sources?

This means that 3 different sources are submitted. Is there a limit of the amount of correspondence that can come from one source or it doesn’t matter? Thanks
