Is MN1 form the correct form for citizenship

Post by joedowney1 » Thu Oct 01, 2020 7:54 pm

Hi there,

Both my wife and I are british citizens (both born in the UK and have British passports) and we have lived in the US for 15 years. Our daughter was born in the US and we wanted to get her British citizenship and British passport - I know she should be eligible through descent. From all of the reading I have done, is the MN1 form the correct one to fill out, or is there an easier way of doing this?

Thanks in advance for all advice :-)

Joe

If she was born to British parents, she is automatically British by descent. Apply for a British passport directly.

MN1 is not required as she is already British.
