SET O is the ONLY form you can use for PBS dependents.
It is based on their visa route and visa they have held for 5 years, not your ilr
status based on tier 2 general.

Thanks CR001,
Apologies if i have not made it clear. I came here on tier2 general visa and my wife and kids are my dependents but they have joined me in uk 6 month later (I came in June 2015 and they in Dec 2015).
I had applied for ilr alone and got ILR on July 2020.
My wife and daughters couldn't applied as they weren't completed 5 years stay in uk that time. But now they have completed 5 years hence eligible.
My questions are as below :
Will my wife will be main applicant now and daughters are addtional to main applicant.
Someone mentioned that she needs to fill SET M form and not SET O as they are dependent to me (already settled).
Hope the situation is clear and get some advice.
Thanks in advance.

SET O is the ONLY form you can use for PBS dependents.
It is based on their visa route and visa they have held for 5 years, not your ilr
status based on tier 2 general.
As long you got your ILR via the Tier 2 route, your dependents will apply on SET(O) as advised earlier.

Why not search the forum and read the PBS dependent guidance notes??
There is no general discussion topic. It is not a difficult application to make either.

Hi ,
Someone told me that as now I am having ILR (Tier 2 general route) I may apply naturalisation for my daughters (minor and curently on pbs dependent visa).
Can someone please clarify if that is true as it will save some money. This is important as have already applied with set o application and have an appointment this week. So if its true I may need to cancel it.
Appreciate your quick guidance please.
Regards

Children born abroad need ilr first. There is no shortcut route.
They will only qualify to apply for citizenship at discretion ( no entitlement) once they have ilr and either parent is also applying or already British and the other parent also holds ilr.

Thanks Cr001,
so just I am clear for kids naturalisation one of parent needs to be British ?
I Thought if kids have the Ilr and one of parent is also having ilr they can apply for naturalisation along with parent applying for naturalisation.

They need to hold ilr and be either applying at the same time as a parent or one parent must already be British and the other parent must hold ilr.
I Thought if kids have the Ilr and one of parent is also having ilr they can apply for naturalisation along with parent applying for naturalisation.
That is what I already said!!
