Tier2 General to ILR Application queries- Pls Help!

ILR Application Queries

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I am preparing my ILR application to be submitted in June 2021. could you please all clarify the following

1.Should I explicitly mention my maternity leave in my ILR application?

I was on maternity leave during my tier 2 visa period from Aug 2018 to April 2019. I was still residing in the UK. I am applying for ILR in June 2021. Though it is in the past, Is it mandatory to mention this anywhere like covering letter or provide a childbirth certificate, payslip during the maternity period ( I was only paid SMP and no Occupational pay), or any other document during that period.

2.Do you have a valid national identity card?

Can I mention my passport number or answer NO, as I have my ID back in my home country. Is this an optional or mandatory question

3.Do you have any Home Office reference numbers?
I have the home office number that I have from an e-mail for the Tier 2 ICT application and I have included it. I don't have the home office letter. Is that ok or should I include it in the documentation?

4.What is the ownership status of your home?
I and my husband own this property equally, so can I mention
A. I own it( and submit mortgage letter, a title deed, council tax. (or)
B. should I choose the options others and mention that This property is owned by me and my husband and we live together with my kids.

5.Is the title deed mandatory to prove the ownership? We are still in the process of getting it as it was delayed due to covid and solicitors being busy. It might take more than two weeks to get it. Should I wait or just go with the rest of the documents if it is not required? Please advice.
I have a mortgage letter, council tax, water bill, electricity bill, etc. Will this be enough to prove that we own and live there.

6.What evidence will you provide to support the reasons for all absences from the UK and Crown Dependencies?
Should I give flight tickets apart from the employer letter for absence and passport- please advice

7.When did you first enter the UK? Is this the date of my entry after my tier 2 visa was done to calculate the five-year period to apply for ILR? I was in the UK before that on a different visa with a different employer and visited my home country for a month and again came back on Tier 2 general.

Thanks in advance!!

1. There is no such requirement
2. Answer NO
3. Answer NO
4. Select A
5. Proof of ownership is NOT required
6. Employer letter and passport copies in the last 5 years only
7. That date is not important. Your eligibility for ILR does NOT depend on the date you put on the form

Tier 2 Gen. Dependent - English Language requirement

Post by I_dev » Sat Aug 14, 2021 11:54 am

Hello Everyone,

My husband is on a Tier 2 General Dependent visa and has completed 5 years being in the UK and is about to file for the ILR Dependent visa in this route.  He has the UK NARIC certificate from June 2014 that confirms the Level of English based on his qualification.  It states the below:
----------
The level of English language for the above degree course is considered to meet the requirements of CEFR level C1.
----------
I already applied for my ILR (main applicant) and received it. When I applied for ILR couple of months back, I submitted 2 certificates that I received from UK NARIC from April 2016; viz., 'Academic Qualification Level Statement' and, 'English Language Proficiency Statement'.  However, my husband has only one statement and it does not mention what statement it is.  So, we are confused and appreciate if someone can assistance in the below please!

1. Should he get these 2 statements now from ECCTIS or is the one that states his level of English language is above CEFR level C1 good enough for Dependent ILR application via the Tier 2 general route?
2. Should he apply to ECCTIS and get a latest certificate from them?

Thank you very much in advance!
