After 5 year FLR M ILR

Post by Davee31 » Fri Oct 14, 2022 7:42 pm

Hello,
This forum and the people on it have been so helpful in the past I can't thank you enough.

So my wife (Canadian) will be coming to the end of her 5 year visa (×2 2.5 year FLR M) and will be applying for ILR. During this time we also now have a baby (7 months to date of present) and would like to know if someone could tell me where I could find information or tell me what is required.

I work employed fencing and landscaper paid weekly £500, can provide payslips and employment letter along with corresponding bank statements.

Whats the minimum requirement, does it go up because we have a baby (British birth certificate)

Thank you in advance.

Financial requirements are the same as FLR(M). The baby is British so should NOT be part of the application at all :!:

See: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... rement.pdf

On top of that, she needs to pass the LIUK test. Canadians do not need to prove English language requirement

Do they not ask in the application if we have any children or dependents or is the question worded for only children who are seeking visa status.

Also are there good apps to practice life in uk test. I'm sure the can figure out how to book test but any help would be appreciated. I'm a while off doing my application for now but want things be as best prepared as possible.

Thanks for responding.

There are lots of free websites that let you practice the Life in the UK test, you can easily find them on Google. There is also the official handbook for sale here https://www.officiallifeintheuk.co.uk/shop

You can book the test here https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test
